RG Global’s OC Energy™ Drinks Signs $10 Million Distribution Contract for Michigan
August 13 2007OC Energy™ Drink, a subsidiary of RG Global Lifestyles, Inc. (OTCBB: RGBL) (“RG”), announced today that it has signed a $10 million-per-year distribution agreement (gross revenue) that will place and promote the OC Energy ™ style-conscious line of energy beverages and bottled water in more than 1,000 stores throughout Michigan by this fall. Distribution will expand to cover the whole state by late 2008.
The one-year renewable, multi-distributor deal will have OC Energy drinks on shelves before the new season of Bravo’s internationally syndicated hit reality television show “The Real Housewives of OC” airs in October. Three of the OC Energy Drink’s “OC Angels” spokeswomen (Lindsey Knickerbocker, Ashley Zarlin and Christen Currie) are regulars on the Orange County, California-based series. OC Energy anticipates that Bravo will air segments that include some of the Angels’ recent promotional events during this season. Exposure in last season’s episodes helped spark interest as the OC Energy line was launched. OC Energy COO Bob Glaser said he expects the exposure from ‘Real Housewives” will help give the OC Energy drink line a solid edge in the fastest growing segment of the beverage industry.
OC Energy recently expanded its distribution agreements in other regions, including a six-state area of New England. The company also completed construction on a state-of-the-art, high-speed production line earlier this year to meet the rapidly growing demand for the beverages.
