RG Global Lifestyles, Inc. Implements LOI Agreement with Catalyx Fluid Solutions, Inc. to License their Proprietary Technology for the Removal of Sodium from Coal Bed Methane Mining Associated Water
August 21 2006IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RG Global Lifestyles, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: RGBL - News) announced today it has implemented the terms of the LOI agreement it signed with Catalyx Fluid Solutions, Inc. (CFS) located in Anaheim, California, wherein CFS will grant a definitive license to RG Global's subsidiary AQUAIR, Inc. to use and sublicense CFS's proprietary technology in Wyoming. This technology is specifically designed to treat coal bed methane associated water to make it fit for discharge in the water bodies or for use in irrigation. The water as produced has unacceptable levels of sodium, barium, iron and other inorganic contaminants that pose a threat to the soil and aquatic life in the local habitat.
CFS is a product development company focused on bringing to market innovative technologies that make existing products cheaper or simpler. Their development efforts as a specialty water treatment company span a wide range of disciplines supported by multiple patents, such as minimum waste ion exchange regeneration systems, selective separation nano-filtration systems, and wastewater recycling systems. CFS is now marketing improved versions of technologies patented by the founder which have been used to remove toxic substances such as heavy metals and arsenic in the chrome plating industry and the microchip manufacturing industry for the past ten years.
Wyoming 's vast reserves of coal with water tables above create a natural condition for the generation of methane gas. As a result, the process pumps out water and gas together. The water that is pumped out is then separated from the natural gas and is known as CBM produced water. The State of The CFS technology being licensed to RG Global Lifestyles, Inc. produces less than 1% waste, making it the most cost effective technology available. The current cost of treating one barrel of water runs from a high of $0.79 to a low of $0.32. With the CFS technology disposable waste at less than 1%, the cost per barrel to the gas producer using the CFS technology is much below $0.32. Several of the operating wells have been shut down and in other cases they have had to stop drilling because they cannot meet the SAR discharge levels standard. The CFS technology is the only cost effective technology available that has been proven to meet the SAR requirements.
Following the news of a successful pilot plant operation, RG Global released $200,000 to CFS and placed one million shares of common stock into escrow as agreed to in the LOI. The data from the successful testing was forwarded to several gas producers in
